Adjustment & Restoration

Your pillow will be sanitized and your fill will be placed in a brand new shell. Our pillow shells are high thread count, silky smooth cotton and are the same kind used in fine retail stores. You can have fill removed from or added to your current pillow or to a new pillow. Select your fill preference and we will add the correct amount of European white goose down and/or feathers based on your choice. |
Comforter & Feather Beds
If your comforter or featherbed is an open construction model (meaning the down moves throughout inside the comforter) we can add or remove down. Select your fill preference and we will add the correct amount of European down or feathers. All comfort adjustment, restoration and repair work done will incur an hourly fee. Old shells will be returned upon request. Comfort adjustment and restoration pricing does not include laundering and finishing services. |

Matelassé Coverlets & Shams
By its very nature, Matelassé will shrink when washed. Sometimes this shrinkage can be as much as 10%. Shrinkage is an unavoidable part of the cleaning process. Fortunately, Blanc Plume has the expertise and equipment to restore items to very near their original dimensions.
We accomplish this restoration by a very specialized process of hand blocking and air-drying. Also, we can usually restore items that have been previously damaged by improper care. Scalloped and/or flanged items may incur an additional charge.

Your antique linens will be brightened and preserved. We remove all residual stains and soaps from previous washes without damaging delicate fibers. Blanc Plume restores all types of antique linens and garments. If your item is not listed below, send it in for a free estimate.
